Ok, so this story caused a bit of a stir in the celebrity gossip circles thanks to Danny's complaints on the stolen flowers. You can google "mario lopez" + "flowers" or "organic flowers" and a ton of hits will come up. It even made ecorazzi.com!

This story showed up on the Daily Dirt segment of Jeff and Jer's radio show in San Diego!

Something really funny happened today. Mario Lopez stole my flowers.

I went to the Southern California Home and Garden Show at the Anaheim Convention Center to see my friend Danny Seo, eco-lifestyle expert, who was a featured speaker on how to incorporate green elements into your home. Here's Danny and I backstage. He is great, you should check out his website for green living tips, and he's a regular on the CBS Early Show with a Going Green segment. The next one is August 31 and features how to have a green picnic. I'll have to TiVo it!

I brought Danny a couple of eco-friendly flower arrangements to decorate the stage during his presentation. They featured Veriflora-certified Pink Intuition roses, spray roses, and tulips with velvety geranium leaves in a brown blumebox, which I decorated with ribbon and put a label that says "Eco-friendly flowers provided by www.thespiraledstem.com" with my logo. Just a little touch to bring some "green" to the stark white stage and a little plug for me.

So after Danny's presentation and walking through the exhibits at the home show, I took off so that I could get started on the flowers for tomorrow's wedding. Well, the next featured speaker at the Main Stage was Mario Lopez, and apparently he LOVED the flowers and just had to have some. So I got a call to see if I could bring more flowers back for Mario to take to his girlfriend because he just LOVED them, but I had to be back by 5pm because he was leaving. Being as customer service oriented as I am, I agreed, rushed home, and made Mario his own special arrangement to take to his girlfriend. It had Vendela roses, geranium, and curly willow.

I even took a few extra minutes and hand stamped a very personal message onto the blumebox. This is why I just love the blumebox, because it can be so easily personalized and accented with any color scheme.

I get back to the Anaheim Convention Center at 4:45pm, and guess what?! Mario had danced off, with the flowers from the stage! My eco-friendly flower display for Danny was gone, and after some unsuccessful detective work to track down Mario and his accomplices, the personalized arrangement intended for his girlfriend took their place.

So Mario, I am glad that you loved the flowers and I hope you and your girlfriend are enjoying them. Now you know who to call when you want eco-friendly flowers for your girlfriend, home, or party!!! Just don't take the flowers from the Green Room at the Emmy's!
